These are a few of my favorite things…
- The Daily Me… I’m a Dunkin’ Donuts girlie through and through – catch me with a medium French vanilla iced coffee, or during fall season, it’s pumpkin spice iced coffee all day erry’day! You’ll rarely spot me with a purse (though I appreciate their look) – I’m more of a keys-swinging-off-one-finger, phone-and-slim-wallet-in-pockets kind of girl. When it comes to my daily rhythm, I’m definitely a night owl, and you can usually find me with my laptop (a true office essential!) working away. While I love both my written planner with sticker books, my digital calendar is always at my fingertips for quick scheduling.
- Seasonal Joy & Family Life… September to December is my absolute favorite time of year! It kicks off with my birthday in September, then rolls right into Halloween (the fun kind, not the scary stuff), Thanksgiving, and my favorite – Christmas! My ideal Saturday? Movie time with my daughters (the pecans), dinner out (because who wants to cook every day?), and ending with a cozy couch session, grazing board in hand, probably binging The Walking Dead for the fifty-leventh time. Our most cherished family tradition is decorating the Christmas tree while listening to A Soul Christmas – I’ll happily share that playlist if anyone’s interested!
- Faith, Business, and Growth… Joshua 1:9 is my go-to verse for everything – business, life, you name it. It was this verse that gave me the courage to leave my “good government job” and trust God’s plan. Every morning starts with gratitude and time with my girls as we begin our homeschool day. My most unexpected business lesson? That I had the right idea all along. After spending nearly a year moving away from Two Pecans & A Peach’s original vision, I learned to trust my instincts and came back stronger with more experience. My favorite business book, “The Wealth Choice” by Dr. Dennis Kimbro, transformed my money mindset and opened me to receive God’s promised abundance.
- Brand and Dreams… The story behind Two Pecans & A Peach is special – it came from our fresh start moving from Florida to Georgia, creating a name that captured both our new adventure and the brand we were building. I say “we” because my daughters are truly part of this business and my biggest cheerleaders! You’ll often catch me using the peach emoji (get your mind out of the gutter – it’s a branding thing! 😊) and the blushing emoji to smooth over awkward moments. My productivity secret? Living by my calendar and outsourcing household tasks like laundry and grocery delivery. And my big dream? Designing a holiday decor line for Target or Walmart – because who doesn’t love a little Christmas glitter (IYKYK)?
